I am wondering how much space I'm using up if I continue to add more images for the items I want to sell. How much space do I get? Also... If I remove an image that's being used on an item, will that item lose the image too?

No, removing it from your image sets won't remove it from products. But you don't need to remove them, and if you do, you can't add that image to any other products (like new ones that come out) later, without re-uploading it.

If you find your image area is crowded, just create "sets" to store images in so they're more organized. Then you don't have to worry about it.
