Hey CP Refugee's ... I myself just joined Zazzle after the CP commission change announcement. And I am finding this is a very friendly place to start over. Mods and Members here are being very kind to assist us in our questions. Anyway, I noticed that there is a bunch of us joining like hot cakes. Most are joining with new user names and the like. I had to use another user name as someone else has my CP name...lol Thought it would be fun to share our CP username, Not the full URL as it might violate a forum rule but just our SN?..... Mind you, I'm sure the CP C.E.O.'s are here monitoring the threads, But I really don't care. Nice to meet you, I'm "Laobuddy"...

I think that's a great idea, saythany. I was "cowpie" from CP. One thing that makes it confusing here is, if you're signed in with another account, your user name changes, so you'll see my name change, depending on which account I'm signed in with.

I was Teesa at CP. I closed all my shops there and plan to move everything here once I study the forums for a while and do some test runs.

Hey, I'm still fstasu I tend to not change my screen name as it confuses me...lol.
Been here since January learning the ropes. Now that things have change drastically at CP I'm going to make this my new home.
It's nice to see so many friendly folks here, and this sure seems like a very helpful place. Hope to learn a lot as I go.

Just curious since I've never been on CP. Why are so many people leaving and coming to Zaz? BTW, welcome to Zazzle. Lots of good people here to help you out if you need it.

because CP recently announced new policies reguarding how we make money on our designs... IE - we only get 10% from anything sold in the marketplace. This change seriously ruins many shopkeepers' incomes by a lot!

Hi all, was and still am giftsjustforu, i've been here for awhile but like most had been concentrating on CP, but not anymore. I too had hopes of making it a full time business, so I feel like all my dreams have been crushed. Reading from all of you I am now getting my ideas together to start anew. Go Zazzle!

Hey everyone... I have a store in both shops, and in both, I was bownranch. I have been here about a year?, I have been slowly getting more sales at Zazzle, and I like it here alot, they seem like really good folks. I am terrible at promotion!!!!
I find the buyers are looking for different things from each store. I sell alot of postcards and stickers here, (alot is a relative term, hahhaah) and greeting cards. On Cafepress, I sold framed art, posters, tees. That is why the 10% baloney is a killer for me.
The support is great, the store owners are great, and I think CafePress is going to really regret their decision. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
Welcome all you CafePressers looking for a port in the storm! You will be glad you came, even if the learning process is more difficult!

So ... hi? Howdy fellow frustrated CP SKs. I am just poking around here and boy, do I feel like a rookie. Everything is so different. It's going to take me a bit to get all settled in here and figure out how to get things setup. I think the folder structer might be the hardest thing to get used to. Sure is going to take me a bit to get used to the Product Lines. Since it's so different, hope you don't mind I ask a few questions. Do you prefer to organize by design or by product type? I noticed that the Quick Create, when you add "all products" it only gives a small sampling of the shirts, for example. It seems the customer has to click more things to find the shirt they are looking for. Do you prefer to add one product for each shirt type or let the customer click on "select a different shirt style"? I may be missing it, but is there a way to bulk change pricing? I'm not fond of the percent markups as they tend to leave the customer with an odd final price. I'd much prefer to set exact prices (24.99 instead of ... 25.78). Anyway...I sure hope we can get ourselves reestablished here. I looked at a few other places, but I have to say, Zazzle had the best selection of products I wanted to see (including a keychain). Dang it...I'm writing a novel again! Sorry Off I go AbernathyDuck Edit: Dang nabbit? Why isn't my profile pic showing up?
