I'm interested in wild birds on any item. It can be photographed or graphic or painted.

One item at a time. Please include a link to the image and a paragraph describing it.

The blog is here Wild Bird Blog . Please take a look so that you get an idea of what I'm looking for.

Suggestions: What bird is it. Where was it taken if photograph. Any adventures in capturing it? If it's a design, what inspired it? Any special information about the habits of the bird. And anything else that will stretch it out a bit with good use of search engine words.

I'll be cut and pasting your paragraph so please check your spelling and grammar. I don't correct. Grin Have enough trouble with my own spelling.

Can't wait to see what you'd like promoted. Shocked

thanks for the opportunity, it's a beautiful blog

http://www.zazzle.fr/cardinal_on_cherry_blossom_mousepad-144757522651618281

A digital watercolour painting of a Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) sitting on a cherry blossom tree. During courtship, male cardinals feed seeds to the female beak to beak. This painting was inspired by a pair of cardinals whom paid regular visits to the garden whilst I was in Arkansas during the summer of 2009. Available on a range of products in the ArtformTheHeart store.

Enjoy this seasonal 2011 calendar with exquisite photography of twelve different northeastern birds. Included are a Northern Cardinal, Blue Jays, Canada Geese, a Red-bellied Woodpecker, a White-Throated Sparrow, an American Goldfinch, a Ruby-throated Hummingbird, a Common Grackle, a Tufted Titmouse, a Red-Breasted Nuthatch, a Black-capped Chickadee and a pair of Redpolls. All photographs were taken near my home in the hills of rural New York.

A brilliant red Northern Cardinal is eating sunflower seeds during a snow storm. I took this photo through my back window on an incredibly cold and wintry day in upstate New York. The cardinals live here all year round. We enjoy their lovely singing and gorgeous colors. By mid-summer, they are bringing their babies to the feeding stations to teach them where they can get seed next winter.

A Sharp-Shinned Hawk is perched on a branch very close to my bird feeders in upstate New York. He is hoping to catch a meal. This hawk's prey is mostly small birds. Although the "Sharpie" is the smallest hawk in North America, he is a very fierce predator. As soon as I got the photo, I chased him away! This black and white poster is a digital photograph, enhanced to emphasize the dramatic effect of this hunter's fierce nature.

A tiny Black-capped Chickadee is perched on the edge of the feeder. These lovely, friendly little creatures flock to our feeding station in upstate New York. I have them trained to eat walnuts out of my hand. They follow me around demanding a snack!

This Dark-eyed Junco is sitting in a tree during a snow storm. They are year round inhabitants in our upstate New York environment. Mainly ground feeders, they are usually seen and heard twittering under the feeder stations in our back yard.

What a fabulous start. Thank you both. I'm going to stagger your submissions Bebops. I've put the calendar on to start with. I'm so envious of your American birds especially the red cardinals.

I'm Scottish, just spent a lot of time in USA the last 3 years. Last summer was the first time I ever saw a cardinal for real and I was just totally captivated by it.

Give it a couple of days and then add some more. I've scheduled your submissions to appear throughout the day. They should be all up by tomorrow. Thanks for contributing and I look forward to seeing some more.

Here is a possibility. Thanks!

http://www.zazzle.fr/ah_hummingbird_wall_art_poster-228446241231690958

This is a ruby throated hummingbird poster. The photo was taken in my back yard (in Roswell, GA USA) after sitting for nearly an hour trying to capture the essence of this marvelous bird. They become surprisingy tame if you are patient enough, although they rarely hold still for very long. Definitely one of the most amazing birds there are.

Here's a suggestion! TIA if you use it Grin

Two young Mallard ducklings nuzzle eachother affectionately. Their reflections and lilypads are seen on the water surface of a shallow community pond. These wild birds are the most recognizeable and well known breed of duck, with chicks hatching from late April to late May. After about two months, ducklings usually have full-grown feathers and are already flying.

http://www.zazzle.fr/warbler_note_card-137526730696592005

Your blog is very nice! I love seeing birds featured. Smile

This is one of my photo note cards of wild birds. This is a Myrtle Warbler, also known as the Yellow-Rumped Warbler for reasons that should be obvious in the photo. The yellow is most pronounced in flight. This beautiful, southern wild bird is elusive, and I have to lie in wait to get a good close up of this feathered friend.

http://www.zazzle.fr/bananaquit_bird_sticker-217202224123681303

This bananaquit bird is common in the tropics, but a surprise to those from farther north. This particular bird was eating some tasty fruit from a tree in the Bahamas. Their bright yellow stomachs make them easy to spot in the trees despite their relatively small size.

http://www.zazzle.fr/robin_babies_postcard-239265303647857599

Baby robin birds are a cute way to celebrate spring and early summer. Sometimes you even find a nest in your own backyard. However, Mama Robin will want to keep you away from her baby birds. These cute robin babies were cheeping for their moma when I found them. I'm sure they had a yummy worm meal soon after.
